WIS students are assessed in a variety of ways in which they can demonstrate their understanding and learning. They might be assessed on project work, presentations to class, experiments, role playing, debates, essays, examinations or tests, to name a few.
For these assessments we use criteria published by the International Baccalaureate Organization that uses rubrics, student expectations, and checklists for each subject. Students also take the International Schools Assessment, a standardized test to help us develop our curriculum. We do not use this test to rank students’ performance.
