Inclusion (ID)
The Inclusion Department look to maintain and enhance the profile of Inclusion throughout the school and the inclusive practices it promotes, particularly within academic departments
ID looks to:
- Lead and practice whole school teaching and learning initiatives to support teaching and learning:
- Design, develop and deliver appropriate pupil support with the PYP and MYP unit planners
- Develop and assess effective assessment and moderation systems that can inform teaching and learning
- Support teachers to achieve the best possible learning outcomes for all
- Create and review appropriate timetables for the learning support team
- Liaise with faculty and counsellor to create and implement IEPs for any identified students:
- Liaise with parents and identified student in implementation and review of IEP goals.
- Ensure that Inclusion Teachers will also be responsible for implementing the targets on the student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) in liaison with the class teacher and Counsellor.
- Identify and coordinate the use of appropriate sources of external support and expertise and to be a pivotal member of the WIS inclusion committee, implementing and reviewing the WIS Inclusion policy
